Puppy Purchase Contract
SPAY & NEUTER CONTRACT
At Cedar River Corgis, puppies placed in companion homes are sold on a spay/neuter agreement. This policy helps us maintain responsible breeding practices and protects the long-term health and quality of the breed. Unless otherwise agreed upon, puppies are sold as pets and are not intended for breeding. Families who purchase a companion puppy agree to have their dog spayed or neutered at the appropriate age recommended by their veterinarian. This helps prevent accidental litters and supports responsible pet ownership. We carefully plan each pairing in our program to preserve excellent temperament, health, and structure in future generations. For this reason, breeding rights are only granted in select cases to approved programs that share our standards and commitment to ethical breeding. Our goal is to ensure that every Cedar River Corgis puppy grows up to live a happy, healthy life as a beloved companion while protecting the integrity of our breeding program.
RETURN AGREEMENT
If at any point in the dog’s life a family is unable to keep their Cedar River Corgis puppy, the dog must be returned to us rather than being surrendered to a shelter, rescue, or rehomed independently.Our return agreement ensures that every dog from our program always has a safe place to go if circumstances change.
We are committed to helping find the best possible solution for the dog, whether that means welcoming them back into our care or assisting in placing them in a carefully screened new home.This policy reflects the deep care we have for the dogs we raise. Our goal is to ensure that every Cedar River Corgis dog is always protected, supported, and given the opportunity to live in a loving environment throughout their lifetime.
VACCINATION AGREEMENT
Each puppy receives age-appropriate veterinary care before going to their new home, including routine health checks and initial vaccinations. Puppies will also be dewormed on a regular schedule and carefully monitored to ensure they are healthy and thriving. New owners agree to continue their puppy’s vaccination schedule and provide routine veterinary care as recommended by their veterinarian. This includes maintaining proper vaccinations, parasite prevention, and overall health care throughout the dog’s life. Buyers are encouraged to schedule a wellness exam with their veterinarian within a specified time after bringing their puppy home to ensure a smooth transition and establish ongoing care. Proper nutrition, regular veterinary visits, and preventative care are essential to helping your Cedar River Corgis puppy grow into a healthy adult.Our goal is to give every puppy the best possible start in life, and we ask our families to partner with us in maintaining their dog’s lifelong health and well-being.
BREEDER AGREEMENT
We offer a breeder agreement that goes home with all of our puppies. This agreement ensures that our buyers are bringing home the happy, healthy, well-rounded puppies that they were promised. We believe it is our TOP responsibility to offer this to our clients so that we can be held accountable, if we are not meeting expectations.
